I am a work in progress. Hopefully we all are! I am a wife, mother of two, educator, musician. Knitting and music are my passions. . I've challenged myself to find time to knit ever day and embarked on a health and fitness journey with some new friends from around the country. We'll be here to inspire and motivate one another through that process. Look out world, here come finished projects (finally), profound changes and hopefully, long sought after answers!

Christine...I hope you didn't get completely rained out in Boston. I know they cancelled the Mariners and Sox game due to the downpour. It has been nice here in WA so I have gotten out there and walked or hiked everyday. My scale is not moving though!! GGRRRRR!! What the heck am I doing wrong? Any advice...Sammy Christine???

Ah, well, we didn't end up going. Hoping to go this weekend! I haven't walked in two days and today I did day 1/Level 2 of my Shred and it was so stupidly hard! I had to do it at 5am and I'm not happy about that! Today was full of unpleasant surprises so I'm going to move on.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of hiking are you doing? Are you really working up a sweat and getting the blood pumping? If so, maybe it's about the calorie in-take. I've discovered that I am gaining muscle AND not always eating enough calories so that my metabolism is screwed up.
You might try walking faster and pumping 3 or 5 pound weights?
Hey Molly! So good job on going hiking everyday! That is awesome and definitely keep it up. However like Christine said calorie intake is important. It's basically 80% food intake and then 20% exercise. Trust me it's true and it sucks big time lol.
ReplyDeleteLike I said to Christine try and avoid looking at the scale. Try once a week or try the jeans technique. You are doing well so no worries!
