Bad news....

Hey ladies so I have horrible news.  My strained hip flexor turned out to be a herniated disk. Yeah it's horrible I had to get an MRI today and I am going to see a specialist tomorrow to see what my options are.  Needless to say I need your prayers.  I am so upset and I hope all will go well. Keep up your weight loss goals chicas and I will hopefully get back on track with you ladies.  Go girls go!

  1. Oh Sammy I am so sorry to hear about the disc injury. You are young and that will really help with healing time. You need to watch your diet really well. If you gain lbs you will be way worse off. Good luck Sammy. Please keep me posted.

  2. Oh no Sammy! Try not to let it get you completely down. Molly's right, your young and strong and determined! You need to focus on following whatever plan the doctors tell you and make your health your top priority. I'll be praying for you and please keep us posted and let us know if there's anything else we can do from afar for you.

  3. awww you guys are dolls. Thank so much for your support I definitely need it haha. So I got the results from the MRI and I will definitely need surgery. I am a tall girl and when I injury myself I go big apparently haha. It's a scary thing and they said I have two herniated discs and they are a result of years of stress on my lower back. So now I really have to take care of myself. Thanks you for your thoughts and prayers I definitely need them. I will keep you all posted <3

  4. Sammy- Please take all other roads before you have back surgery!!! Surgery should be your last resort. There are several steps you can take before surgery...injections, spinal decompression, physical therapy. Get a second opinion as well. Talk to more than one doctor about this. Or ask you current Dr about other treatments you can take before surgery.

  5. Oh Sammy, I'm so sorry to hear that! Molly offers great advice. I know from past experience, that it's not always easy to ask for a second opinion. Being raised the way I was, that felt disrespectful to me. I now realize that it's really our job to question everything. I'd definitely take Molly's advice and advocate for ALL of the information! We'll be here for you kiddo - please do keep us posted.
