oh man ladies I am so nervous right now!!

So for the past two weeks I have been having this pain in my right leg in my thigh and hip area and it hasn't gone away and it has gotten worse (shotting pains/spasms). I looked it up online and I think I might have a hip flexor strain!!!!!!! I am terrified because this can become chronic. I'm going to see if I can go to my health center tomorrow. gah I hope it's not serious.

  1. Ok sammy..this just happens to be my area of expertice. Seriously. I teach injury treatment to other massage therapists around the US.

First, don't freak out or worry. Strains are very normal for people who workout. Also you may have piched a nerve, that is usually when the shooting pains and spasms come in.
You can go to your doctor and get muscle relaxers and anti inflammatories. You need to rest the leg. I am sorry sammy this means no pure barre for a few days. If you can get a massage...this can make a big difference. The most important thing is to rest it.
